I have a question about sounding requirements in SW/WA versus SE. I’ve been told (reliably) that, unlike SE, SW/WA requires soundings every two inches and not just along the track lines. Assuming that’s correct, do soundings also need to be plotted along the chart borders or sides?
Also, is an accuracy of ±5 fathoms acceptable? If so, that would significantly reduce the number of soundings we need to memorize. Hopefully someone with accurate knowledge can chime in and verify.
